SO Blessed!!

The other night as I was eating dinner with Douglas and the kids, with Trinity lying on the rug, I realized that life couldn't get any better than this!! I am just so blessed to be where I am today!! Of course we dont have the most glamorous of lives and times can be hard, but overall, I am so happy for the things I do have and for those that have helped me along the way. Douglas for one has been a HUGE blessing for me!! We are very different people, but I really needed that for him to push me and to help me see what amazing things I could do. He has stuck with me through thick and thin and I am so grateful for that. My love for him is the strongest it's ever been! It's crazy how going through trials and hardships can do that for ya! As for my kids, oh my!! Words cannot express how honored I am to be their mom!! They keep me on my toes each day, and I love it!! They are such good kids and are so full of love!! I am just so amazed at who they've become so far and look forward to the many stages they will go through in this life! I just hope I can continue to be a good example for them and learn to be patient and loving with them always. My family is my rock and I thank Heavenly Father each day for them!!! Can't wait for the journey we have ahead of us!!!

Iron Man 2015!!

Today I came across a youtube video of those who competed in the St. George Iron Man this last Saturday. For me, I have always thought doing an Ironman would be such a huge accomplishent, but the running part is where I get scared and think, maybe not!! But after watching the video, it got me so motivated and pumped to go for it!! So, I have decided that for my 30th Birthday, in 2015, I am going to do one!!! I know, I know, 4 years is quite a long time from now, but if I set my mind to do it and take that time to get myself to do some Olympic Tris, half marathons, and marathons, it will be perfect timing to be ready by then!! I am hoping to get my Sister Amie and my Bro in Law Tylor to do it with me!! It's quite the goal and I know it is going to take ALOT of determination and dedication, but I know I can do it!! I'm sure I'll keep everyone updated with all the races and training I do till then!!

Going all out!!

So, most know I do triathlons and spend a lot of my spare time working out. In these workouts I do, I try to put 2-3 p90x in my workouts each week. As of today though, I am going all out and committing myself in doing the full 90 days of p90x. With the tough mudder coming up as well as the triathlons I'll be doing this summer, I wanted to change it up and make it more intense! I will of course be doing other workouts with my training and such, but I thought it'd be good for me to give p90x a shot with the strength and toning I want for my body. If you want to keep up with how I'm doing, I will be blogging about it on my training blog. Wish me luck!!

Mother's Day

Here is the song my sister Trisha and I recorded last year for Mother's Day. It's a great song regarding the special women that go out of their ways to do things for others and still don't feel they are doing enough, but really, they are angels in disguises!! I hope all of you have a wonderful Mother's Day this year and know just how special each one of you are!!!

Hustle!!

The other night, I went with my friend Erin to a workout class called Hustle. It reminds me in a way like Zumba, but is all hip hop moves!! Totally my thing!! For a while, I've been thinking about becoming an instructor for Zumba, but after doing Hustle, I am totally hooked with it and it's a class where you can get certified to teach!! I talked with the instructor after class and she told me all about the training and the other two classes you can teach which is Piyo and Turbo kick. Those would be fun, which I think eventually I would like to do, but Hustle would be my first choice!! Unfortunately, the Hustle training in Utah will be the same day as my Tough Mudder :( but the instructor told me that they will have more training classes to come!! I am just so pumped to do it!! Here is a little video to show ya what it's all about!!!
