More Prayers For Grandma!!

My Sweet Sweet Grandma Holt had to go to the hospital again this last Monday. She started acting all weird, not knowing what was going on and kept collapsing. The doctors ran a bunch of tests and think that it either was a minor stroke, a small blood clot, or first signs of Alzheimer's. If you know Grandma, she is one to always be on the ball and in control of things. For her to not be herself is very difficult for everyone. Unfortunately, they don't think she will ever be the same. I pray things will be easy for Her and for my Grandpa. Like I've said before, they are such a rock in my life that not having them is going to be a huge struggle!! I know they are at the age of having issues and I am so grateful they haven't had serious problems till this last year, but still, I just wish they could stay healthy and be around for a long time.

This really opened my eyes about my parents. They are both about 20 years younger than my Grandparents, but have had a lot of serious health problems, even worse that could take away their lives. I had the chance to openly express my concerns to my Mom about it and told her how much each of her children want Her and my Dad to WANT to get better!! It's on them to make changes. Throughout the years, we have all put in efforts to try and help them, but really, it has to be their self motivation to change their habits and to get healthy. They both are diabetics and very much over weight. I pray too that the words that were said as well as the things that have happened to my Grandparents, will help them to want to change and do something about it!! I want them there for my Kids. I want them to be there for their Graduation, Wedding, ect. That is one thing I will always cherish with Grandma and Grandpa Holt.

Valentines Weekend

This Valentines was a little bit different than planned, but turned out to be really nice. Douglas and I were going to go out Saturday and celebrate, but due to some lovely financial issues on our car, we decided it'd be best to wait and go out another time. I was bummed at first, but tried to make the best of it. Douglas ended up making me dinner that night and then I went to my Friend's Bridal Shower which was a lot of fun! Sunday, I didn't go to church because of Mekenzie not feeling well and being a pill that morning, but I got to Sing at one of Jenny Phillip's Firesides that evening in Nephi. I carpooled with Her and a couple of other Girls in the choir. It was really nice to talk with them and get to know a little bit more about each other! Jenny is an awesome lady!! The fireside as always was such an enlightment for me! The spirit is SO strong every time I sing!! I just love it :) Then Yesterday for Valentines, I had to work most of the day, but got off a little early to watch Douglas play 2 different Basketball Games. He normally only plays one every Monday, but they were behind a week and needed to catch up with another team. Anyways, it was really fun to go. He plays with my Brothers and cousins, so it's always fun to have all the family around supporting them! So, even though we didn't get our special night out that we had wanted, we still had a great weekend! I definitely felt the LOVE!!!

Hot Stone Therapy

Today I went to Massage Envy for my monthly massage and decided to get the 2 Hour Hot Stone Therapy one, and let me tell ya, It was the most relaxing massage I have ever had! The heat was so nice on my sore muscles as well as just the overall feeling I got afterwards. If You haven't had a massage before, this is the one to get! It relaxes your muscles whether you are sore from exercise or just plain stressed. I was really impressed with my massusse as well. I haven't really had a consistent one that I liked, but I think from now on, I will be going to Sammy at the West Jordan clinic. She was awesome!! I was even so impressed, that I booked a couples massage for Douglas and I next month to surprise Him for his Birthday. He always tells me he doesn't need massages, but with the work he does snowplowing and how often his neck and back hurts, I think once He gets a massage, He'll be hooked! I was anyways! Can't wait for next month :)
