Happy Birthday Haiden!!

I'm a little late in posting this, but I just wanted to wish my Haiden a very Happy Birthday!! He turned 3 this last Tuesday, which is so crazy to me! Douglas and I are so blessed to be his parents! He is such a happy, smart, funny little man, who loves being busy! He has the most beautiful smile, which can brighten anyone's day. Although he has his mischeivous moments, he can be the most loveable boy who is very aware of other people's feelings. Haiden is a very good big brother to Mekenzie. They both are such good friends and I love watching them interact with each other, especially now that they are getting older! It's so fun to be their Mommy!!!

I love you Haiden more than words can tell!! You are such a joy in my life!

OVERCOMING A FEAR

This coming Sunday, Douglas and I get the opportunity to speak in church. Most people think, ok! no problem, but for me, I am seriously freakin' out!! I know I've done it many times before, but I just don't know what it is that makes me so scared to speak!! Ask me to sing, and I'll get up there, no sweat, but getting up and talking for me is horrible!! I think I get too worked up on what to talk about and worry that I am going to make a fool out of myself. And of course, I always end up crying!! So, what do I do to overcome this fear? I know I just need to rely on Heavenly Father in helping me, but it doesn't take away the sick feeling I always get from it!!

"Refiner's Fire" Complete!!

Last night, I got a copy of Dan Bryant's "Refiner's Fire" cd in which My Sister and I were a part of. Listening to the final touches of it is AMAZING!! His songs are very spiritual and have such a uniqueness about them compared to other church music. I am so honored to have been a part of his cd, and hope that many of you will go out and get it! Lots to look forward to...

This New Year of 2010, is one that I'm very excited for. Not that anything extravagant is happening, but some goals I have given myself, makes me real determined and excited to complete them. In June, I will be competing in a Triathalon. It has been something that I have wanted to accomplish in a long time, and so with June being a few months away, it'll give me the time to train and focus on my times in each division. Plus, it'll keep me staying healthy and happy! I am so excited to do it and know that it'll be such a positive thing for me to focus on. I hope to do another one later in the year as well.

Another one that I have mentioned before, is making the goal to attend the temple regularly. Having that goal will help me so much in being happier with myself and closer to my Father in Heaven. I hope to attend monthly for myself and also with Douglas.

Having the opportunity to travel is such a blessing. I'm sure throughout the year, I'll make the effort to visit my sister Amie in Florida, which is always so fun. I just hope that we'll make a trip and do the whole Disney World/Universal Studios thing! I also want to take Douglas to New York this year. Just for a weekend or Day even. He has never been, so it would be so fun to go!! Then in December, Douglas and I will be going on our first cruise!! A few of Douglas' family will be going as well, so it'll be a blast!

On the 19th, Haiden will be turning 3, which is CRAZY! I swear I just had him!! And Mekenzie will be 2 in July which is even CRAZIER!! My babies are getting so big!! This year will be fun as they continue to learn and grow into the amazing children they are!!

Being in our house this year will be an adventure for us. We have so many things we want to do, especially the yard, and so it'll be fun to work on our projects!!

This year is one that I want to look back on, and smile on the accomplishments I've made for myself and for my family. I am looking forward this year in a positive light and hope to stay strong through anything that comes my way!! 2010, here we come!!!
