So You Think You Can Dance Auditions

On Friday, SYTYCD auditions were here in Utah and to make a long story short, I got a NO on the first round:( I switched my style from hip hop to contemporary which now doing it, I wished I would have done jazz instead! Oh, well!! It was a good experience though! I had so much fun meeting people and experiencing the audition with my friend Stephanie. Her and I were friends when we were younger, hadn't seen each other till a few months ago and then we both decided to give it a shot together! She is such a fun person and I am so glad it brought us to be friends again. I plan on auditioning again if the location is convenient for me, but we'll see what happens!!! Overall, it was a blast!!

SYTYCD... Am I ready??

So, as most people know, SYTYCD is coming to Utah this Friday. I've been planning on auditioning since they announced it and have been practicing to get myself back into the swing of things, but today all of these doubts have been hitting me and I'm now wondering if I should even do it!! I know I haven't danced seriously since High School, but I feel that I still have potential, but with trying to come up with a routine and practicing improv, I seriously feel like it's not even worth it!! I love to dance so much, but I'm definitely not the dancer I used to be, especially after having 2 kids and so forth!! It's very depressing and I HATE that I'm feeling these feelings a day before auditions!! It's so frustrating!! I know I know... I'm being ridiculous right? I just need to go for it and show them what I got!! I mean I did get a maybe when I auditioned in Las Angeles, so they see some potential in me, I think I'm just freakin' myself out too much. I don't know, I just need to calm down and be confident with the talents that I do have. Wish me luck!! I'm gonna need it!!!

Grandma Wilson's 100th BDay Celebration!

This past weekend, we celebrated Douglas' Great Grandma's 100th Birthday in Park City. It was such a blast! Uncle Lon and Aunt Josie spent a lot of time and energy, making sure that everything came together, which they did a fabulous job in doing so! We stayed at the West Gate Resort and let me tell you, that place was Amazing! The rooms were enormous, making our stay very comfortable! We had such a good time hanging out with family that we dont see very often as well as meeting new faces! The Birthday Dinner turned out really well. It was so neat to see the joy in Grandma's eyes of everyone that came to give their love and support. It would be an amazing thing to live that old and see the generations after generations of family that you had started. I hope Grandma continues on with her good health and that we'll all be able to enjoy her presence on future events!! We love you Grandma Wilson! Happy 100 wonderful years of living!

Isn't she the cutest?!

How precious is that? This picture is by far my favorite of Mekenzie (so far that is)!!

Starting New...

Well, I am changing things up, yet again with blogging. I have decided to blog on here since it's easier to post this way rather than on our website. Don't get me wrong, I love our web page, but as for Blogging on it, it's harder for people to see it, and since the website is attached to our laptop, I don't have the chance to update as often due to Douglas needing it for work and such! So here is my Blog and of course on the right, you'll see the link to our website!!
